About the event
This is a joint Chan/Lem/Wong Tong Event. A revered visual art form, centuries old, that elevates the writing of Chinese characters into an expressive discipline, using brush, ink, inkstone, and paper (the "Four Treasures of the Study") to convey emotion and meaning through rhythmic, dynamic strokes, deeply intertwined with painting and poetry.
Two Masters will conduct a hands-on session in Calligraphy. All skill levels and ages are welcome.
This is a members event and invited guests.
All practice sheets, brushes and ink supplied at the Tong.
(Note the length of the session has been extended due to the amount of socializing and chit chatting. Expect 2 hours of hands on calligraphy
