About the event
This is a joint Chan/Wong/Lem Tong Event. A revered visual art form, centuries old, that elevates the writing of Chinese characters into an expressive discipline, using brush, ink, inkstone, and paper (the "Four Treasures of the Study") to convey emotion and meaning through rhythmic, dynamic strokes, deeply intertwined with painting and poetry.
This is a open event all members and guests. This event is held each month at a different Tong location.
All practice sheets, brushes and ink supplied at the Tong. (Note that once per quarter real ink is used. So for the novices, please ensure your writing hand sleeve can be rolled up).
The length of the session has been extended due to the amount of socializing and chit chatting. Expect 2 hours of hands on Calligraphy with Karaoke before and afterwards.
